Faith Confession

The Doctrine of the Trinity

We believe in the Triune God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; the one true God. We believe that God, the Father, created the universe and all things from nothing by His Word, and created mankind in His own image. We believe that God is the sovereign Lord of the universe and human history, governing and guiding both toward the eternal purpose He has destined. We believe that the essential attributes of God are love, righteousness, holiness, eternity, faithfulness, and omnipotence, while also being unfathomably mysterious.

Christology

We believe in God, the Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of the Father. To fulfill the Father’s redemptive work, the Word became flesh, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He is fully God and fully man. He proclaimed the gospel, healed the sick, cast out demons, raised the dead, and suffered under the Roman governor Pontius Pilate. He was crucified, died, was buried, descended into hell, and on the third day rose from the dead; He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Almighty Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead.

Pneumatology

We believe in God, the Holy Spirit, who is fully God, the Spirit of Christ, the Spirit of truth, and the Spirit of holiness. The Holy Spirit enlightens people to confess their sins, repent, and believe in Christ for salvation. The Holy Spirit dwells within every believer, leading them into truth, helping them obey Christ, and producing the fruit of abundant life. The Holy Spirit bestows spiritual gifts and empowers believers to be witnesses of the gospel through signs and wonders.

We believe that believers, by faith and desire, can experience the outpouring and filling of the Holy Spirit. We believe that speaking in tongues is a spiritual gift that can edify oneself, but it is not a sign of salvation.

Soteriology

We believe that humanity has fallen due to sin and remains in a state of depravity, separated from God. We believe that salvation is entirely by God's grace through the suffering and death of Jesus Christ, and by the conviction and guidance of the Holy Spirit, which leads the elect to repentance and justification by faith. We believe that born again Christians, through the inward renewal of life, will manifest a new way of living—such as loving God and others, hungering and thirsting for righteousness, preaching the gospel, pursuing holiness, bearing the fruit of the gospel and the fruit of the Spirit—which attests to their election and calling. We believe these fruits represent righteousness that surpasses that of the scribes and Pharisees and are the evidence of entering the glorious Kingdom of Christ’s return.

Ecclesiology

We believe that the Church is the body of Christ, made up of all regenerated Christians. We believe in the unity, holiness, catholicity, and apostolicity of the Church. Christ is the head of the Church; the Church, by the redemption of Christ, is made holy and without blemish, receiving the spiritual authority given by Christ to overcome sin, death, and the powers of Satan. The Church is built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ as the cornerstone, and serves as a foreshadowing of the New Jerusalem. The Church is the household of God and the spiritual home for believers, the pillar and foundation of truth.

We acknowledge that each local church is a part of the universal Church, entrusted with the great commandment, the great commission, and the new commandment from God. While remaining faithful to the Bible, every local church inherits and upholds the doctrinal traditions of the universal Church, proclaiming the truth, administering the sacraments, and exercising church discipline. We believe that within the Church, brothers and sisters are members of the body, united to the head, Christ, and are to build themselves up in love. We accept the principle of the "priesthood of all believers," advocating that everyone, according to the gifts received from God, should faithfully participate in ministry.

We recognize that each small group is the smallest unit or cell of the Church (house church), a part of every Christian's faith and service life, and an important part of fulfilling the command to love one another, evangelize, and witness Christ within the Church and among believers.

We believe that the Church must take responsibility for social justice, advocate for the marginalized and vulnerable, and, in the spirit of the prophets, stand as the conscience of society, denouncing evil, displaying God's holiness, justice, mercy, and love, and being the salt and light of the world. At the same time, while adhering to biblical truth, the Church should respect and obey secular authority, uphold the constitution, laws, and regulations of the state, and fulfill its civic responsibilities and duties.

Eschatology

We believe the Bible’s prophecies about the end times, and that we are living in the last days. We believe that Christ’s second coming will be in glory as King, accompanied by His angels. At that time, the angels will sound the trumpet, and those who have died in Christ will rise first, and together with the living saints, will be caught up to meet the Lord in the air, receiving glorified bodies. The bride who is ready will be granted entrance to the marriage feast of the Lamb. The foolish virgins and unfaithful servants will be cast into outer darkness where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Afterward, Christ will reign with the overcomers on earth for a thousand years. Following this, Satan will be utterly defeated and thrown into the lake of fire and brimstone. Finally, Christ will sit on His throne to judge all nations, peoples, and individuals, and all will rise from the dead to face judgment before the throne. Those whose names are not written in the Book of Life will be condemned to eternal punishment in hell, separated from God forever. Those whose names are in the Book of Life will enter the New Jerusalem and dwell with God forever.

Bibliology

We believe that all sixty-six books of the Bible are inspired by God, written by the prophets and apostles under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Although the Bible was written by human authors, using human language, and in historical contexts, it is sanctified by the Holy Spirit, set apart, and chosen to become sacred scripture. The Bible is the authoritative standard for our faith, life, and ministry, and is not to be altered, added to, or diminished in any way. The primary purpose of the Bible is to guide humanity to understand and enter into God’s redemptive plan and to provide teaching, correction, and training in righteousness.
